On 14 October 2025, Microsoft will end free software updates, technical support, and security fixes for Windows 10. Is Your Hardware Compatible with Windows 11?
Windows 11 has specific hardware requirements. To run Windows 11, your system must meet the following minimum specs:
Processor: Intel 11th Gen Core or newer, or AMD Ryzen 2000 series or newer. Microsoft has recently updated the requirements to Intel 11th Gen processors for the latest version of Windows 11. This means Intel 8th and 9th Gen processors may not be eligible for future updates or optimal performance with Windows 11.
RAM: 4GB or more.
Storage: 64GB or larger storage device.
Graphics: DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x.
System firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable.
TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0.
